ETHIOPIA YIRGACHEFFE – Light-Medium Roast
Origin:
Hailing from the legendary Yirgacheffe region in southern Ethiopia, this coffee grows at altitudes above 1,800 meters, under natural shade and following traditional farming methods. The coffee is mostly washed, highlighting its clean, floral profile. Varieties like Kurume, Dega, and Wolisho lend it complexity.
Tasting Notes:
Refined, vibrant, and aromatic. Flavors of jasmine flowers, black tea, lime, and white peach. Bright acidity and a delicate body with a crisp, elegant finish.
Brewing Recommendation:
Chemex or V60
Ratio: 1:16.5 – 18g of coffee for 300ml of water.
Medium-fine grind, water temperature 92°C. Pour in slow, circular motions to highlight floral and fruity notes.
Extra Tip: Also makes an excellent cold brew (18g per 200ml of cold water, 16 hours in the fridge), delivering a refreshing floral profile.
